HSER 1643 - Disabilities and Mental Health HSER 1643 - Disabilities and Mental Health This introductory course familiarizes students with the developmental and mental disabilities from childhood through adulthood. Emphasis is placed on the roles of families, societal functions, and professionals that provide support. In this course, students will examine the impact of disabilities both physical and mental, ethics, rehabilitation, life span services, psychosocial aspects, and policies related to disabilities.
