HIST 2049 - The History of the Cold War HIST 2049 - The History of the Cold War This course is a global study of the Cold War from 1945 to the early 1990s. In this course, students will look at how the Cold War dominated world politics for nearly 50 years. Topics include the post-World War 2 map of Europe, the arms race, cultural influences, American foreign policy and proxy wars, and the world of espionage.
