HIST 2029 - Topics in American Studies HIST 2029 - Topics in American Studies This course will examine the historical and cultural definitions of what it means to be an American. Through a variety of sources and platforms, students will investigate how important events, movements, and ideas affect our view of ourselves in the past and today. Topics for discussion will vary greatly from instructor to instructor, but each course will seek to analyze the ever-changing sense of how Americans view themselves through the prism of time.
