Major topics covered in the course include: the Reformation, Wars of Religion, development of national governments, the Scientific Revolution, Enlightenment, Agricultural and Industrial Revolutions, French Revolution, Nationalism, Imperialism, and the First and Second World Wars. As this is an honors course, students will be required to complete additional readings and a research paper or project.
