EMT 1000 - Emergency Medical Technician EMT 1000 - Emergency Medical Technician This course includes classroom and clinical experiences and provides students the opportunity to develop the knowledge and skills required for EMT National Certification. Emphasis is placed on patient assessment, clinical signs & symptoms, pathophysiology and pre-hospital care of patients. Areas of instruction include CPR, airway essentials, assessment and care of trauma & medical patients including infants, children and the elderly, rescue operations, hazardous materials and pharmacological interventions.
