CJS 1360 - Crime and the Media CJS 1360 - Crime and the Media This course will examine the symbiotic relationship between the media and the Criminal Justice System. Students will be provided with an in-depth look at the role and influence of popular media, news media, and social media and how it influences public perception and understanding of the Criminal Justice System. The role of the media in conveying information to the public about criminal events and in soliciting information from the public will also be examined.
