CJS 1020 - Introduction to Corrections CJS 1020 - Introduction to Corrections A study of the history, philosophy, and evolution of corrections as well as the function of U.S. jails and prisons. The course also examines the procedures used by state and federal courts that result in the sentencing of offenders to penal institutions and community-based supervision and treatment programs.
