ASTR 1011 - Introduction to Astronomy ASTR 1011 - Introduction to Astronomy An introductory survey course in Astronomy with laboratory intended for non-science/science majors. Topics include history of astronomy, the solar system, light and spectra, the formation and evolution of stars, galaxies, and the universe. The laboratory portion of the course consists of activities in designed to reinforce and extend knowledge of selected topics covered in the lecture portion of the course. Students who have taken ASTR 1001 will not receive credit for this course. Prerequisite: C- or higher in MATH 0900 OR eligibility for MATH 1010 General Education Code: SCRX Course Fees: Supplemental Fee Level 1 Previous: AST* 111
