ART 1460 - Digital Photography II ART 1460 - Digital Photography II Through demonstrations, assignments, critiques and work on a final themed portfolio, students will review techniques, develop new skills and further explore the creative/expressive side of photography. Students will review DSLR camera settings and operations, file management using Adobe Bridge and/or Lightroom, RAW image processing, and a non-destructive post-processing workflow with Adobe Photoshop. Local edits using Photoshop masks will be emphasized. Students will also look at and talk about a broad range of photographic imagery while exploring the history of photography and photography’s place in culture and society. Students will be encouraged to develop a personal, expressive style in addition to mastering a range of practical photographic techniques while they assemble a cohesive, thematic, exhibition-quality portfolio. Students should have access to a DSLR or similar mirrorless digital camera. A complete materials list is available from the instructor.
