ART 1130 - Figure Drawing I ART 1130 - Figure Drawing I An introduction to life drawing, encompassing both traditional techniques and a contemporary approach to the representation of the figure. Includes the nude figure, the clothed figure, portraiture and the figure in a still-life environment. This course is based in both anatomical and expressive approaches to human figure drawing. A variety of media will be explored, including color and wet media, along with instruction in composition, proportion and foreshortening principles. Students will work extensively from the live model. Studio: 6 hours per week.
