Metallurgy Concepts (2-1) 2 Credits This course will study the basic fundamentals of metallurgy. We will discuss the behavior of metals and how they relate to the field of welding. Topics include identification, classification and properties of ferrous metals, nonferrous metals, alloys, heat treatment, destructive and non-destructive tests, cast iron and plastics.
