Surgical Tech II Lab (3-0) 3 Credits This lab assists the student with the fundamentals for functioning in the sterile role. Aseptic technique training will be accomplished by hand washing and surgical scrubbing, as well as performing task within the OR suite. Students will also be taught the various hazardous chemicals and safety precautions. Body systems are reviewed including anatomy, physiology, diagnostic terms, and surgical and therapeutic procedures with hands -on practice on manikins in an OR suite simulation. (Prerequisite: SURG 111) (Corequisite: SURG 121)
