Principles of Occupational Therapy Practice: Physical Rehabilitation (3-4) 5 Credits This course will focus on the occupational therapy (OT) process in relation to persons with physical disabilities, development of observation skills, assessment, treatment, teaching, adapting, grading self-care, work, and play/leisure occupations for individuals with physical challenges. Topics include techniques and equipment to maximize participation in meaningful occupations, improve independence, ensure safety, prevent deformity and other issues impacting physical rehabilitation OT practice. (Prerequisite: OTA 131; Co-Requisites: OTA 218, OTA 228 and OTA 236)
