Health Concepts IIA (3-2) 5 Credits This course focuses on beginning prioritization skills when caring for the patient throughout the lifespan experiencing commonly occurring acute and chronic illnesses, including common medical -surgical and mental health problems. Students will have the opportunity to apply this knowledge in a variety of health care experiences. This course will also focus on the nurse ’s role in medication safety, administration, and calculations for drugs given to patients experiencing acute and chronic illnesses across the lifespan.
