Applied GIS Project & StoryMap Design (3-0) 3 Credits This capstone course provides students with an opportunity to apply core GIS skills through real -world project experience. Emphasis is placed on field -to-office workflows, integrating data collected in the field into ArcGIS Pro for analysis and visualization. Students will design and publish StoryMaps to communicate project findings, integrating tools such as Microsoft Excel for data management. By the end of the course, students will produce a professional GIS project portfolio that demonstrates technical skills, data accuracy, and effective communication of geospatial information. This course is part of Tier 1 (GIST 101, GIS 111, and GIST 121), which collectively lead to the Aligned Industry Credential: ESRI ArcGIS Pro Foundation Certificate. (Prerequisite: GIST 111)
