Education of Exceptional Learners (3-0) 3 Credits This survey course is an introduction to exceptional learners and their education in grades P-12. Students will attain knowledge, skills, and dispositions that will enable them to work effectively with exceptional learners in general education or special education. The content of this course includes the history of Special Education, legal and ethical issues, state and federal guidelines, characteristics of the exceptional student, methods and techniques for instruction, school/ community resources, and assistive/adaptive technology. (Prerequisite: PSYC 101)
