Basic Networking (2-2) 3 Credits This course introduces students to networking concepts and technologies critical to modern IT environments. Students will learn networking fundamentals, including protocols, network design, cabling, addressing, routing, switching, wireless networking, security, and troubleshooting. Key topics include TCP/IP, OSI model, IP addressing and subnetting, LAN/WAN technologies, wireless standards, network security, cloud networking, and network troubleshooting. Hands -on labs provide practical experience with configuring devices, managing network infrastructure, and evaluating network performance.
