Students are encouraged to speak with the Finalancial Aid Office regarding other possible funding sources including Workforce Pell. (Subject to applicable federal and institutional guidelines) 131 V1.02 Programs of Study 2026-27 CERTIFICATE Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) This workforce certificate program prepares students for employment as a certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). EMT is a workforce certificate program that teaches students topics including human anatomy and physiology; vital signs and their interpretations; cardiopulmonary resuscitation; control of bleeding, bandaging and splinting; effects of medical emergencies on the body and their treatments, including heart attack, stroke, communicable diseases, child birth and child patients, diabetes mellitus and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. This course is approved by the Missouri Department of Health, Bureau of Emergency Medical Services and will allow successful students to sit for the NREMT certification exams. CPR certification is required by the state of Missouri before this course can be taken. Program of Study PCT Major Courses 9 hours
