Principles of Financial Accounting (3-0) 3 Credits This course will provide students with an introduction of recording, classifying and reporting financial information in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. The student will become familiar with the accounting cycle, including the use of general journal, general ledger, adjusting and closing entries and the creation of financial reports. Particular emphasis is placed on preparing, interpreting and analyzing key financial statements, such as the Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Statement of Cash Flows. (Prerequisites: None. However, ACCT 101 or one year of High School Accounting is recommended.)
