3 hour(s) Elective Type: General Education Core - English (T►) Kansas Regents System Wide Transfer Course: [KRSN ENG1010] Description: This course is designed to improve students’ reading, writing, and researching skills. Critical analysis of essays will be used to aid in developing students’ critical thinking, support of thesis, and style. Students will be introduced to the basic components of research by producing documented summative projects in MLA style. The emphasis is on fundamental principles of English composition. 0+ high school cumulative unweighted GPA after five or more semesters; OR 16+ ACT Reading AND ACT English AND B or higher (not B-) in most recent high school English course; OR 2.7+ high school cumulative unweighted GPA after 5 or more semesters AND B or higher (not B-) in most recent high school English course; OR a 160+ GED score. International students must meet designated English language level requirements on a standardized test of English language proficiency. Course
