3 hour(s) Elective Type: Technical ($) Special Funding Identifier: KS Excel in CTE Initiative Description: Students will be introduced to the basics of plumbing and HVAC. The student will receive instruction in the plumbing and HVAC profession, safety, tools, mathematics used, how to read prints and drawings, how to work with the different types of pipe and fittings, fixtures, drain, waste handling, venting, water distribution, basic maintenance, servicing, installation, types of systems found in the Plumbing and HVAC and any other hands on activity. NOTE: Students must earn a “C” or better to receive credit toward a technical degree, certificate, or continuance into Any exception would require department approval. Prerequisite(s): None Course
