AGR1224 — The Meat We Eat
3 hour(s) Elective Type: Elective Description: An overview of the Animal Protein Industry. Areas examined are production, inspection, safety, grading, processing, preparation, storage, and current issues for beef, swine, sheep, goats, poultry, fish and animal by products within the industry. The course will also explore animal protein consumption in humans and its importance in the diet. NOTE: Students must earn a “C” or better to receive credit toward a technical degree, certificate, or continuance into Any exception would require department approval.
