RGT 2132 — Ethical and Legal Responsibilities

Legal terminology concepts and principles will be presented in this course. Topics include misconduct, malpractice, legal and professional standards and the ASRT scope of practice. The importance of proper documentation and informed consent is emphasized. This course will prepare students to better understand their patient, the patients’ families and professional peers through comparison of diverse populations based on their value system, cultural and ethnic influences, communication styles, socio-economic influences, health risks and life stages. Two hours lecture per week.
