EMS 1362 — Prehospital Respiratory Management
This course integrates complex knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology into the assessment to develop and implement a treatment plan with the goal of assuring a patient airway, adequate ventilation, and respiration for patients of all ages experiencing a variety of respiratory conditions. The course includes a lab component which integrates airway topics into the use of airway and ventilation adjuncts, including supraglottic airways. One hour lecture, two hours laboratory.
