This course consists of the practical applications of the study of properties of the hair and scalp; principles of hair design; shampooing, rinsing, and conditioning; haircutting; hairstyling; braiding and braid extensions; wigs and hair enhancements; chemical texture services; and hair coloring. Included are classroom regulations involved in cosmetology practice as governed by Mississippi cosmetology laws, rules, and regulations involved in cosmetology practices and safety precautions associated with each.
