Compton College Advanced Placement (AP) Exam Credit Compton College will grant degree-applicable credit for College Board Advanced Placement (AP) examinations for scores of 3, 4 or 5. AP exams that do not specify a general education area will receive elective credit. Course credit and units granted at Compton College may differ from course credit and units granted by a transfer institution. Students who have earned credit from an AP exam should not take a comparable college course because transfer credit will not be granted for both.
