MUSI 262 — Percussion Ensembles
Units: 1 Lecture Hours: 0 Activity Hours: 36 Outside Hours: 18 Grading Method: Letter grade or P/NP option Credit Status: Credit, degree applicable Conditions of Enrollment: Recommended Preparation: previous band or orchestra experience or ability to perform music of moderate difficulty on a standard percussion instrument These ensembles rehearse and perform literature written for combinations of melody and/or rhythm percussion instruments. The ensembles include trios, quartets, quintets and larger ensembles, and may be combined with wind or string instruments to complete the instrumentation appropriate to the selected literature. Performances are held on campus and in the community. This course may be repeated three(3) times.
