Students review the basic construction of medical words, concentrating on word origins, root words, prefixes, and suffixes. Word structure, recognition, analysis, definition, spelling, and pronunciation are presented in the context of medical terms for organs, diseases, symptoms, diagnostic tests, and medical surgical procedures.
