Explores general chemistry, focusing on the following topics: Matter, Measurement, Problem Solving, Atoms, Elements, Molecules, Compounds, Chemical Equations, Chemical Quantities, Aqueous Reactions, Gases, Thermochemistry, and the Quantum-Mechanical Model of the Atom. This is the first course in a sequence that is designed for students who have had no previous training in chemistry.
