LEA 1005 - Basic Law LEA 1005 - Basic Law 8.0 Credits Conforms to POST standards and state certification requirements as well as the basic skills and knowledge necessary to perform the entry-level duties of a peace officer. Emphasis will be on the United States Constitution, arrest, search and seizure, interrogation and confessions, rules of evidence, Colorado Criminal Code, Colorado Traffic Code, Colorado Children’s Code, Liquor Code, and controlled substances.
