GEO 2009 - Social Geography of Inequality GEO 2009 - Social Geography of Inequality 3.0 Credits This course examines ways in which social inequities arose as by-products of early human adaptations to variations in environmental quality and how the resulting inequalities appear on the modern landscape. The present-day social and environmental effects this course explores include warfare, terrorism, poverty, misogyny, racism, environmental degradation, and the effects of livestock on natural systems. The effects of social and environmental justice movements are also considered. LEC 45
