Lecture: Three lecture. Focuses on the foundation skills required for effective translation and interpretation. Includes intralingual translation and interpretation text analysis techniques through main point abstraction, summarization, paraphrasing and restructuring a message while retaining its meaning. Discussions will address theoretical aspects of translating and interpreting techniques as well as specific issues related to interpreting skills. Also includes introduction to the interpreting field and 10 hours of service learning Course

Prerequisites: ENG102, ASL201, ITP211
