CTM122 — Construction Material and Equipment Safety
Lecture: Three lecture. This course will introduce the student to safety in the Construction Industry and a foundation in applied construction mathematics. Emphasis will be placed on hazard identification, avoidance, control and prevention. Topics covered include: Fall protection, Electrocutions, struck-by and caught between hazards, Early hazard recognition , safety plans, safe transport and handling of construction materials and equipment, safe operation of trade tools and equipment, Scaffolding set-up techniques, stairway and ladder safety, and the proper use of personal proactive equipment Course
