This course is intended for any student seeking a basic introduction to Indigenous societies, histories, and cultures, as well as those considering further work in Applied Indigenous Studies.The course will include units on stereotypes and public perceptions of Indigenous people; more accurate Indigenous histories; approaches to Indigenous values and cultural expression; and contemporary Indigenous nation building.
