PED 110 — Fitness and Wellness for Life
TOTAL SEMESTER HOURS CREDIT (SHC) IN PROGRAM: 60 – 61* Students must meet the receiving university's foreign language and/or health and physical education requirements, if applicable, prior to or after transfer to the senior institution. *All Universal General Education Transfer Component Courses will transfer for equivalency credit to each of the sixteen constituent institutions of the University of North Carolina under the provisions of the NC Comprehensive Articulation Agreement. ASSOCIATE IN FINE ARTS DEGREE IN MUSIC (A10700) The Associate in Fine Arts in Music degree shall be granted for a planned program of study consisting of a minimum of 60 – 61 semester hours of college transfer courses. Within the degree program, the institution shall include opportunities for the achievement of competence in reading, writing, oral communication, fundamental mathematical skills, and basic computer use. General Education Core (25 – 26 SHC) SHC = Semester Hours Credit The general education core includes study in the areas of humanities and fine arts, social and behavioral sciences, natural sciences and mathematics and English composition. UNIVERSAL GENERAL EDUCATION TRANSFER COMPONENT (UGETC) (22 – 23 SHC)* ENGLISH COMPOSITION (6 SHC) Two English composition courses are required.
