Prerequisite(s): MLT 110, MLT 111, MLT 115, and MLT 140 Corequisite(s): None This course introduces the immune system and response; basic concepts of antigens, antibodies, and their reac tions; and applications in transfusion medicine and serodiagnostic testing. Emphasis is placed on immunological and blood banking techniques including concepts of cellular and humoral immunity and pretransfusion testing. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate theoretical comprehension in performing and interpret ing routine immunological and blood bank procedures.
