Covers intermediate level skills for the OR environment, aseptic principles and practices, scrubbing, gowning, gloving, preparation of the sterile field, disinfection and sterilization, scrub role, assistant circulator role, instrumentation, supplies, equipment, patient positions, draping, incisions, procedural steps, and care of specimens as appropriate for the third quarter.

Prerequisites: SURG 148, SURG 150, SURG 152
