GTC 115 — Typography and Layout

This course will cover the history of typesetting, common typographic terms and concepts, type identification, and the relationships of typographic design. Students will examine how layout and type hierarchy can impact the flow of information and how a viewer engages with a layout. The importance of proofreading and reviewing a document will also be discussed.
