ENG 121 — Mystery Fiction

Introduces students to detective/mystery fiction, exploring what makes genre fiction different from traditional literature and how mysteries comment on issues of justice, class, and morality. Students will read, discuss, and analyze short stories and novels by writers, such as Edgar Allan Poe, Agatha Christie, and Walter Mosley.
