MUSI 2311 — Music Theory III*
Advanced harmony part writing and keyboard analysis and writing of more advanced tonal harmony including chromaticism and extended tertian structures. Introduction to 20th century compositional procedures and survey of the traditional large forms of composition. Correlated study at the keyboard. Correlates with MUSI 2116, Advanced Sight-singing and Aural Skills. Three lecture hours per week. Credit: 3 semester hours Co-requisite: MUSI 2116
