ENGL 2326 — American Literature

COURSE DESCRIPTIONS A survey of American literature from the period of exploration and settlement to the present. Students will study works of prose, poetry, drama, and fiction in relation to their historical and cultural contexts. Texts will be selected from amount a diverse group of authors for what they reflect and reveal about the evolving American experience and character. Three lecture hours per week. Prerequisites: ENGL 1301, ENGL 1302 “To avoid duplicate credit, students who take ENG 2326 should not take ENG 2327 or 2328.”
