Provide awareness of rights and responsibilities that law grants to or imposes upon a hotelkeeper, and illustrates possible consequences of failure to satisfy legal obligations. Specific attention will be paid to innkeeper-guest relationships, contracts, torts, civil and property rights and insurable risks. The emphasis is on the prevention of legal violations. By taking this course, managers can appreciate and identify what actions and precautions are necessary to avoid, or at least minimize, the number of lawsuits.
