Speech-Language Pathology Aide (CERT)
A speech-language pathology aide works as a support professional in the field of communication disorders. This is an entry-level position in which the aide assists a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in completing clerical work or therapy-related tasks. A speech-language pathology aide may only work under the direct supervision of a licensed SLP. They are required to report their employment to the California Speech-Language Pathology, Audiology, and Hearing Aid Dispensers Board. Speech-language pathology aides may be employed in schools, clinics, and medical centers.
