The focus of this course is on the theory and clinical application of the Nursing Process based on the Roy Adaptation Model when providing care for medical-surgical patients and patients with women's health disorders in acute care settings. The role of the nurse as a manager of care in collaboration with other members of the healthcare team is introduced. The student must receive a grade of "C" or higher in the lecture component and a satisfactory grade in clinical lab in order to pass the course.
