GEOL 101 — Physical Geology
This course is an introduction to Earth's composition, structure, and geologic processes. The laboratory component focuses on rock and mineral identification, using topographic maps to interpret landform features, examining the processes that shape Earth's surface, and evaluating the causes of natural disasters and climate change. Some lab exercises may involve field trips. This course is not open to students with credit in GEOL 102 and GEOL 102L .
