DH 329 — Applied Periodontics
Intended for students accepted in the Dental Hygiene Baccalaureate Degree Program. This course is designed to provide the student with a thorough understanding of the role of the hygienist in the treatment of periodontal disease. The normal periodontium, the pathogenesis of periodontal disease, etiology, and therapy are studied in detail. Soft tissue curettage and root planing are emphasized.
