DH 114 — Dental Hygiene Clinical Sciences I

This course introduces the student to the methodology and rationale for patient assessment and data collection. It includes patient histories, determination of vital signs, extraoral and intraoral examination, examination of the gingival and periodontal tissues, examination of the teeth and appropriate documentation of the data. The student will receive essential information for assessment of a patient prior to the formulation of the dental hygiene treatment service plan.
