AB 165 — Mix and Adjusting Color

This course increases the marketable skills for the automotive refinisher in the trade. Emphasis is on color and texture duplication, the use of automotive toners to scratch paint mix, and to mix specific colors using formulas and tintometers. It also includes spray-blending techniques, compatibility, spray-out panels, let-down panels for multi-coat matches, troubleshooting of materials, and paint chemistry. I-CAR curriculum may be presented during course delivery. (Formerly AB 65)
