The course covers topics such as chords, strumming, finger picking, improvisation, music reading and guitar technique, and introduces guitar styles such as rock, folk, blues and classical. Practice outside class is necessary for completion of this course. Students must provide their own guitar. Students already proficient in the areas listed in the course description should register for individual instruction.
