The course includes competencies related to philosophy, screening, assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning, documentation, programming, medication, collaboration, mental health consultation, and discharge planning. The core functions involved include screening, intake, assessment, treatment planning, crisis intervention, referral and multicultural aspects of Substance Related Disorder.
